What is a good ';palmade'; or curl balm to put in my hair before/after to keep the curls from falling out?

I have naturally curly hair.... so to get the ';nice curls'; i have to blow dry it straight then curl it. It looks better when ive straightened it with the flat iron before but the curls never stay! What can I use to help them stay in all day? Also, how do the non clamp curling irons work?What is a good ';palmade'; or curl balm to put in my hair before/after to keep the curls from falling out?
curl one section spray it with hair spray then do another then spray and so on but after that when you have finished spray it all again.then about 10 hours after spray it again i know it sounds like alot of hair spray but its not if you spray lightly and from a distance
