Amika hair iron... how to curl?

Ok, so I just bought the Amika flat iron (the one that also curls) at the mall. I straightened my hair (AWESOME!) and it's just as great as when the girl showed it to me. One small problem... the girl put this really awesome curl in my hair in like two seconds, and I want to curl my hair all over. I can't figure out how to use it to curl! The directions for curling are brief, uninformative, and I just can't seem to get it. Anyone have good directions, or a website with help/info/photos for curling?

Thanks!

ps- yes, it is worth it, for anyone who has considered purchasing one ;)Amika hair iron... how to curl?
difficult to describe, but ill take a shot at it. there are quite a few ways, but try this one. take the section you want to curl and comb it smooth and away from your head *sideways*. hold the iron a few inches away from you scalp with the hair between the iron. wrap that piece around one side of the iron. now close your iron and twirl/pull it away it, unspinning the hair your wrapped around the iron. you need to wrap and twirl the hair in the same direction or there will be this horrible kink in it where the curl begins. troll youtube and you'll find hundreds of video's n how tos if you're looking for other techniques, i just gave you the one i find to be the easiest. Forewarning, USE THERMAL PROTECTANTS! flat irons are hot, like center of the sun hot and can fry hair in a flash, a thermal spray wont cause any grief and itll save your hair. please invest in one especially if your playing around learning curls, as the hair stays in contact with the iron for a much longer time then basic flat ironing. Im not trying to scare you, just warn you that if you hold the iron in one spot for too long, it WILL damage your hair. use a good thermal spray like reken fabricate or spray starch or hot sets, or matrix sllek look flat iron spray. hunt around, you'll be able to find one on sale somewhere, but please please please dont muck about with out one.
