How do i curl my hair with a flat iron? (royale)?

okay so i just got the new roayle.i love it! but i cant seem to get the curls. i try like 10 times and i may get like 2. it just keeps almost crimping my hair! i got the skinny tattoo version. but i have medium length hair and kinda thick. but i did small and thin strands. how can i get tight curls???

Just wanted to let you know that there is a new iron on the market now,it's called the In Styler by Conair,it's like two irons in one,one side is a straightener and the other side is for curling your hair,now why didn't someone think of this in the first place? I think it's a great idea,you may want to try and put some hair spray on the section of your hair before you run the iron through it,sometimes it works out well,just wanted to share the new of the new product with you.
